About Course

As per the guidelines of the Maharashtra Council of Acupuncture (MCA), all practicing registered acupuncturists are now required to undergo Continuing Acupuncture Education (CAE) as part of the re-registration process. This initiative, overseen and accredited by the Maharashtra Acupuncture Council (MAC), is designed to ensure that acupuncturists remain updated with the latest developments, techniques, and best practices in the field of acupuncture.

Objective of the CAE Course

The primary aim of the CAE course is to enhance the clinical knowledge, practical skills, and professional standards of practicing acupuncturists. It supports the idea of lifelong learning, fostering competence and ethical practice in line with evolving global healthcare trends.

Benefits of the CAE Course

  • Mandatory for Re-registration: Earning CAE credit points is compulsory for re-registration with the MCA, helping maintain professional licensure.

  • Skill Enhancement: Participants gain advanced training in new techniques, case management, research integration, and safety protocols.

  • Credibility and Compliance: Completion of CAE ensures compliance with MCA regulations, thereby maintaining professional credibility and legal practice rights.

  • Quality Patient Care: By keeping practitioners updated, CAE indirectly improves patient outcomes and treatment success.

  • Professional Growth: Exposure to peer-reviewed sessions and expert-led modules promotes professional networking and growth.

Need for Completing CAE for Re-registration

In accordance with MCA’s re-registration framework, all registered acupuncturists must accumulate a specified number of CAE credit points during their licensing cycle. Failure to complete this requirement may result in non-renewal of the practitioner’s registration, affecting legal authority to practice in Maharashtra.

Conclusion

All registered acupuncturists are strongly encouraged to enroll in the CAE course as prescribed by the Maharashtra Acupuncture Council. Not only is it a regulatory requirement, but it also serves as a valuable opportunity to grow professionally and deliver the highest standard of care to patients.
